Courses

Most of RPA’s training programmes are for specific clients. In response to many enquiries, however, in 2008/9 we will be gradually launching public versions of some of this material. The purpose is to release proven techniques from the world of the large corporates and make them available to smaller and medium sized companies and to individuals who are at an early stage of developing their own business plans.

The fun and challenge of the real world is very much a feature of RPA training and delegates may expect to benefit from our High Assimilation Learning™ methods which incorporate material ‘from the front’ with accelerated layering, business simulations & games, workshop sessions and extensive modeling and acting segments.

Various research into the human mind, understanding and learning indicates that we remember:

10% of what we read
20% of what we hear
30% of what we see
50% of what we see and hear
70% of what is discussed with others
80% of what we do and say is
.... ..experienced personally
95% of what we teach to someone

Courses are typically one-five day, content-rich saturations in key-skills and approaches. The objective is that new abilities become embedded and ingrained in a short period of time, rather than merely ‘learned’. The style provides a highly participative (and tremendously fun) experience where powerful key-concepts are understood and experienced at many levels so that they become a natural unconscious resource useable on a daily basis.

Power Negotiation and Sales – a five day course sharing and engraining the individual tactics of a successful negotiation covering, for example, how to prepare, what to say, what to do, how to respond, how to work invisibly with your own team, creating a winning mindset before starting.

• Business Plan Edge – a two day course for those about to raise money for their existing or new venture. With so many good ideas chasing an ever smaller amount of money, having a good pitch and solid written plan backing it up may be the vital only difference between funding your dreams and somebody else getting your money instead. Learn what those people who read plans for a living are actually looking for, what turns them on & off and how you can improve your chance of not only getting a deal but a good deal.

It is expected that courses will be run initially in London, Sydney and Los Angeles. Please watch this site for information on dates or contact us on info@roscopaterson.com

Two proto-courses may also be held in London later in 2009:

• Executive Communication – designed for boards and management teams who want to move to the next level of team performance through a mixture of personal development and group performance optimisation.

• Micro MBA & Vocabulary – for individuals just starting or preparing to start a business. Many entrepreneurs realise that passion and hard work will get them a long way but quickly discover that being able to understand the language of the people they admire most in business is key to accelerated growth. Yet, without taking serious portions of time out of their business and perhaps very significant funding, a formal long-term course is not appropriate. The Micro MBA & Vocabulary is a group of sessions over a year-eighteen months where, using High Assimilation Learning™ methods, delegates are rehearsed in the meaning and practice of many of the key concepts, definitions and ‘secret language’ that is only usually revealed in much longer programmes.
